I couldn't figure out how in the world one would make a vase from a sweater so I had to come and see! It's an awesome idea. How about taking e it a step further and cover ugly jars and old glasses, etc., with knitted sleeves made to fit? It shouldn't be too hard to knit something like that, since the size doesn't matter that much as long as it's stretchy.
