Pocket Full of Sweets Valentine
Don't send average Valentines Day cards this year; make something special instead! In this Pocket Full of Sweets Valentine tutorial, craft designer Carlene Eshelman demonstrates how to make homemade Valentine cards with a pocket inside to hold a candy bar or other treat! Your Valentine will love you even more when you give them this extra special card!
Materials:
- 8 1/2” x 11” red cardstock
- 4 x 5 ½” coordinating cardstock
- 5” x 6 ½” completed card front
- Embellishments for inside card
- Liquid glue
- Stapler
- Scissors
- Candy bar
- Bone folder or score board
Instructions:
1. Take 8 1/2 x 11” cardstock and score 11” side of cardstock 1” from left side.
2. Score again 5” away from first score line.
3. Turn cardstock 90 degrees and score cardstock at 2”.
4. Cut 1” rectangle strip off.
5. Cut small rectangle off right side of cardstock.
6. Fold 2” x 5” rectangle at crease.
7. Put candy bar in pocket.
8. Staple on sides of candy bar.
9. Take 4” x 5” cardstock and punch a half cirlce in middle.
10. Glue to rectangle pocket.
11. Add embellishments to right side of card.
12. Glue cardfront to front of card.
