Summer Tin Can Lanterns
After the sun sets on a romantic summer evening, light up your garden with Summer Tin Can Lanterns. After you learn how to make a lantern, these little beauties will glow like lightning bugs. Tin can crafts are a great way to recycle all those soup cans leftover from winter. Plan an outdoor date and dine by the light of your tin can lanterns. The DIY process is quick and it won't be long before you have a collection to hang around the garden. Paint them in bright, summery colors and add tea lights when you're done. They would also be adorable hanging indoors. Let your little lights shine.

I used to love tin can lanterns as a kid. I love this adult version of a fave childhood craft and I really want to put these in my backyard! Who knew a simple tin can could be turned into something so pretty and useful.

What a cute up cycle idea! There are so many pattern ideas running through my head for these. Kids parties, different holidays to light up the walk way. I only have one thing to think about. The inside of the cans will be sharp, so be careful when adding the tea light. Thank-you for this free pattern.
