Sweetheart Valentine's Day Wreath
Spread the warmth of Valentine's Day to all of your guests with this Sweetheart Valentine's Day Wreath. This year, create a wreath that will make Cupid green with envy and show your sweetheart just how much you adore him. With this handmade Valentine's Day wreath of hearts your message of love just cannot be missed. A few polymer clay roses and turtle doves added to this wreath will get you ready to send a special message this Valentine’s Day.
Materials:
- 8.4” high twig heart
- 130” of 0.5” wide light pink satin ribbon
- 8” of 0.3” wide pink grosgrain ribbon
- pink glitter foam sheet
- white foam sheet
- three 1.4” polymer clay roses: two light pink and one dark pink rose
- two 0.6” wide white wooden doves
- two 0.4” high wooden hearts: one pink and one white
- dark pink wooden butterfly
- 6 pearl beads
- 11 pinky-blue glass beads
- 11 small purple free form flat-sided freshwater pearl beads
- 2” high heart-shaped cookie cutter
- pencil
- standard scissors
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
Instructionst:
- Add a drop of hot glue with the hot glue gun at the back of the twig heart and glue the one end of the 0.5” wide ribbon in place.
- Wrap the ribbon tightly around the twig heart until the whole heart has been covered with ribbon and hot glue the other end of the ribbon in place at the back of the heart.
- Make a loop with the 0.3” wide grosgrain ribbon and hot glue it to the top of the heart.
- Use the cookie cutter to trace 10 hearts onto the pink foam sheet and 8 hearts onto the white foam sheet. Cut out all the hearts.
- Hot glue the hearts to the wreath start with two pink hearts in the middle and alternate between white and pink hearts until two thirds of the wreath has been covered with hearts.
- Hot glue the three roses at the top of the wreath.
- Make an arrangement with the doves, beads, pearls and wooden hearts and hot glue everything to keep them in place.
- Hot glue the butterfly to the dark pink rose.
