Lucky Penny Letters
Turn that loose change into a cute and clever addition to your holiday home decor with this Lucky Penny Letters tutorial from craft designer Maureen Wilson! With a bit of Mod Podge and some creativity, you can easily create a St. Patrick's Day decoration that looks like a million bucks!
Materials:
- Papier mache or wooden letters
- Copper acrylic paint & foam brush
- Hot glue gun & glue sticks
- Pennies (about $3 worth)
- Mod Podge (optional)
Instructions:

Begin by painting your purchased letters copper with copper, acrylic paint.
Note: If your letters are papier mache or unfinished wood, one coat should do fine.

Once your letters are dry, begin to add your pennies using a hot glue gun.

While gluing, try to space them so you don’t have any large gaps. Alternating pennies with different layers will give the piece added dimension.
