Materials:

• 860-158 Vanna's Choice Yarn: Mustard ball
• 860-134 Vanna's Choice Yarn: Terracotta ball
• 860-100 Vanna's Choice Yarn: White ball
• 860-153 Vanna's Choice Yarn: Black ball
• Lion Brand Crochet Hook - Size G-6 (4 mm)  
• Lion Brand Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6)

Instructions:

Gauge:

1. Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
    

Stitch Explanation:

1. sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased.

Notes:

1. To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete st.

Striped Pennants: (make 4)

1. Beg at top of piece with A, ch 15.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 14 sc at the end of this row.
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each st across - 13 sts at the end of this row.
5. Row 4: Rep Row 3 - 12 sts at the end of this row.
6. Change to B.
7. Rows 5-10: Rep Row 3 - 6 sts at the end of Row 10.
8. Change to C.
9. Rows 11-14: Rep Row 3 - 2 sts at the end of Row 14.
10. Row 15: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog - 1 st.
11. Fasten off.

Solid Pennants: (make 3)

1. Beg at top of piece with D, ch 19.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 18 sc at the end of this row.
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each sc across - 17 sts at the end of this row.
5. Rows 4-18: Rep Row 3 - 2 sts at the end of Row 18.
6. Row 19: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog - 1 st.
7. Fasten off.BOWS (make 2)
8. With D, ch 36.
9. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 35 sc at the end of this row.
10. Rows 2-8: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
11. Fasten off.

Bow Ties (make 2)

1. With D, ch 9.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 8 sc.
3. Rows 2 and 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
4. Fasten off.

Finishing:

1. Assemble Bows
2. Sew short ends of one Bow together. Flatten Bow with seam at center. Wrap a Bow Tie around the center of the Bow and sew ends together. Rep for other Bow.With C, work B, O, O onto Solid Triangles using surface ch st or embroidered ch st.Alternating Striped and Solid Pennants, and with BOO aligned left to right, lay pennants onto a flat surface. With D, ch 20, sl st in first ch (hanging loop), work 14 sc across top of first Striped Pennant, *ch 1, work 18 sc across top of Solid Pennant, ch 1, work 14 sc across top of Striped Pennant, rep from * until all Pennants are joined. Ch 20 and make 2nd hanging loop. Sew a bow to each hanging loop.
