The Day of the dead decor is more colourful and vibrant than Halloween. Love all the swirlly skeleton painted on tshirts and faces. The swirls sort of remind me of drawing mandala patterns. All the Color against the white background makes them really pop.

These Day of the Dead planters are fun to make and really dress up a simple clay pot. After the clay pot is painted white, only a few colors are really needed to duplicate the traditional design. A felt tipped black magic marker can be used to duplicate the swirly motifs.

Love this idea for Halloween decorating! I don't need all that gore for my house. These are authentic to the origins of Halloween. I'm definitely going to make these come October.
