I love "play on word" costumes...made one like this (deviled egg) for my daughter 20 years ago (adapted for a 2 yr old) by just dressing her in white and using yellow felt for the yolk and red sharpie marks for the paprika). Other play on words costumes I've made were "shooting star", "cereal killer", to name a few. I love making homemade costumes and when my kids were smaller (currently grown with kids of their own) I don't think I bought more than 2 costumes each. Now I look forward to making costumes for the grandchildren.
