Marbled Easter Egg Art
"How cool is this bright and cheery Marbled Easter Egg Art? All you need to make it is watercolor paper cut into the shape of eggs, nail polish, water, a plastic bin, and newspaper. This Easter craft is a great way to use up old nail polish, and you can even string a bunch of these Marbled Easter Eggs together to make your own DIY Easter garland to decorate for Easter Brunch with family and friends. Materials List
- watercolor paper cut into the shape of eggs
- nail polish
- water
- plastic bin
- newspaper
Instructions
-
Fill a shallow bin halfway with water. Invite your child to pour nail polish into it. We chose to use pastel spring colors!
-
Swirl the nail polish with a toothpick to create a marbled effect, then dip the paper egg into it. Just a small amount of nail polish is needed! We discovered that if too much was used, the nail polish created unsightly blobs on the paper.
-
Pull out the paper, then set it on a piece of newspaper to dry. Kids may be able to dip a second egg into the water, but if more nail polish is needed, simply add more!
-
TIP: Wear protective gloves to prevent nail polish from gathering on your finger tips!
-
When your child is finished, use a scrap piece of paper to scrape the leftover nail polish from the water before disposing.
