Love this! It's so artsy so I know who would enjoy and appreciate making this. I didn't know washi paper was so organic. I love the intricate detail and step by step pictures used in this tutorial, it makes it easier to replicate. You could make this using plastic eggs since it's not absorbing any paint and you could reuse them the next year.
