Country Christmas Garland with Homespun Fabrics

Materials:
- 1 yard each of at least 2 homespun fabrics
- Yarn or twine to gather
- Sewing supplies
Instructions:
- Cut homespun fabric into 4” wide (or desired width) strips.
- Sew end to end to create 1 ½ to 2 times desired finished length.
- Fringe on both sides of fabric by snipping about every ½ inch, 1 inch deep.
- Place fabric strips together.
- Sew yarn/twine down middle, pulling as you sew to gather slightly.
- Wet slightly under running water.
- Place in dryer.

That's simple enough! I have a lot of hand made ornaments, so a hand made garland would look just right, although I think you could use any fabric that you liked and it would come out just fine. This definitely goes on my to do list that I hope to finish before Christmas this year.
