Away in a Manger Ornament
The nativity story is the heart of Christmas, and the Away in A Manger Ornament captures that story with layers of brightly-colored felt. Its simple form befits the story's rustic setting and makes these homemade Christmas ornaments easy to sew and give as gifts. With a little help, these DIY felt ornaments are kid-friendly too, making them a great hands-on way to teach the Christmas story while trimming the tree.

This is adorable and very easy to make. I am going to make just one minor addition. I want to add the baby Jesus. It's really not a nativity without him. All I need to do is add a small round pink shape to the crib. Put some black lines like his eyes are closed and that's it, he doesn't need a body since just his head will show and maybe just half of that, like from the eyes up.

This is adorable! It's rare to find a Christmas decoration these days that celebrates the true meaning of the season. 5 stars!
