Sock penguins are perfect for a childs gift or as a holiday ornament. This are just charming. Great project for orphan socks too although I would be sure to make more than one. Rather than silica beads mentioned in the instructions which might easily take on moisture I most likely would use rice or other very small dried beans. Lovely project.

These are so cute! Those really soft chenille acrylic footies they sell at the corner drug store would work so well for this pattern as they are so soft! The footies they give you in the hospital,would work too, but they are not as snugly or soft and colors are limited, however, might be good to,use for alternative stuffing! Love the little,pink blush on the girl penguin! Thanks for sharing such an adorable project!
