With this tutorial, you will learn how to make homemade scented candles that would make great DIY holiday gifts. The layers of color in these create a beautiful striped pattern. Not only are the layers beautiful to look at, but they also each have a different holiday scent so that as the candles burn, the wonderful scents of peppermint, balsam, and frankincense all float through the room. At first I thought "what a neat gift" but I would keep these for myself! The jars she used might be hard to find, especially if they're tempered to withstand heat. I think it would look good to use those half pint or pint sized wide mouth canning jars, too. I have seen some old squarish type half pints that would be great for this.
