Sparkling Hearts Valentine's Day Card

Materials:

  • 5.6” x 8.2” pink cardstock
  • 3.7” x 5.4” gray cardstock
  • Sheet of white printer paper
  • Four black and silver self-adhesive scrapbooking photo corners
  • Mirrored "Love" sticker
  • Acrylic paint in the following two colors: pink and watermelon
  • Paintbrush
  • Silver glitter
  • Pilot extra fine silver marker pen
  • 0.6” high heart-shaped foam stamp
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Clear-drying craft glue

Instructions:

  1. Score the pink cardstock in half to create a card sized 5.6” x 4.1”.
  2. With the fold at the left, centre and glue the gray cardstock to the front of the card.
  3. Draw 9 rectangles sized 1” x 1.1” on the printer paper.
  4. Use the paintbrush to apply pink paint onto the stamp and transfer the heart onto one of the rectangles. Carefully lift the stamp and while the paint is still wet, dust the stamped heart with glitter. Shake off any excess glitter and allow to dry thoroughly.
  5. Make another four pink hearts, so that you will five pink hearts in total.

  6. Clean the stamp and now make four hearts with the watermelon paint.
  7. Cut out the rectangles and draw a frame around each rectangle with the Pilot silver pen.
  8. Glue the rectangles in a random manner to the front of the card.

  9. Add the four photo corners.
  10. Finish it off by adding the silver mirror word.
