Shimmer Tree

This year, skip out on a fresh evergreen tree and opt for this sparkly Shimmer Tree from ILovetoCreate. All you need for this paper tree is some poster board, newspaper and shipping paper, glue, and glitter. This DIY Christmas craft is so easy to make that anyone can craft one. This tree fits in perfectly with rustic decor and will look great as a small tabletop tree in a smaller room. Make multiple trees to go in every room!

Materials:

• Tulip® Fashion Glitter® - 4 oz. Gold
   
• Tulip® Fashion Glitter ® - 4 oz. Silver
   
• Aleene's® Original Tacky Glue®
   
• Aleene's® Fast Grab Tacky Spray™
   
• Newspaper
   
• Pencil
   
• Shipping tape
   
• Plastic tablecloth
   
• Shipping paper
   
• Poster board - 2 sheets
   
• Scissors
   
• Dinner Plate

Instructions:

1. Tape two sheets of poster paper together along the two wider sides. Roll the paper into a giant cone. Tape in place. Cut across
   bottom of cone to flatten so it will stand up straight.
    
2. Trace around dinner plate on newspaper and shipping paper to create desired number of circles. Cut out circles.
    
3. Roll each circle into a cone and glue edges together. Let dry.
    
4. Glue cones to tree in rows, overlapping until entire tree is covered.
    
5. Spray bottom half of cones with adhesive. While wet, sprinkle with glitter.
    
6. Let tree dry completely.
    
7. Place desired ornament on top of tree. (Option: Wire twigs together to form star.)
