I did this with push pins in clear on a white foam tree go with a Christmas theme I have.

Yes it isn't for little ones. My 12 year old grand daughter did fine making one. She also did it in clear push pins and then took some of my beads, since I make jewelry and have a ton of them, and added some here and there for color. It really came out nicely. I wanted to keep it but she won and its in her bedroom. Now I need to make one for myself.

I have to agree, I don't think it is kid friendly. I made one and I love it. I did mine with clear pins.

Since the entire craft is made with very sharp push pins I don't see how this is considered "kid friendly".
