Cool looking. Is it fire safe. And tricky lighting the tea light down in the jar. Might want to put sand or something else in first.

I love mason jars for many things besides canning foods. Great used as candles, food gifts, storage, etc.... Using them to decorate for the holidays is a great idea, too.

I usually use my mason jars for jams and jellies but I wonder if this could be done with thick bar glasses or juice glasses. I can usually find them for next to nothing at garage sales, flea markets, and second-hand shops.

I have never done anything like this before but it looks like fun and it is so pretty. I have become disabled this year and have not been able to work since February and have time to do crafts now. I love looking for crafts that I have never done.

Years ago I made holiday themed candle holders with my daughter using mason jars and red/green tissue paper! This was something that we were able to do together that brought us even closer. Until this day I set them out during the holidays. It is truly an experience I will NEVER forget!

As always, I enjoy reading the comments. :) I would like to see pictures of this in action - a candle glowing through the jar. I'm also all about safety, and would hope that the crafts used are safe to use with the flame. Otherwise this is a cute idea, something I'd enjoy playing around with creatively!
