Decorative Christmas Pillows from Cloth Napkins

Materials:
- 1 cloth napkin (about 15” x 15”)
- 2 matching fabric pieces cut at 15” x 15”
- Scissors
- Sewing machine
- 12-13” pillow form
- Fabric pins
Instructions:
1. Cut one matching piece of fabric down to 15” x 12”.
2. Fold 12” side down to 10”, making a folded hem line of 1”. Pin hem down.
3. Sew straight stitch down.
4. Fold 2nd matching 15” x 15” piece in half.
5. Place cloth napkin down on table face up.
6. Lay hemmed piece down on top of napkin face down, and into top corners.
7. Layer folded piece on top of, but in bottom corners.
8. You should have the top two pieces overlapping each other.
9. Pin down about 1” away from edges.
10. Sew a straight stitch 1” away from edges.
11. Cut excess fabric away leaving ¼” seam.
12. Zig zag all around your fabric square.
13. Trim excess fabric away in corners.
14. Fold over corners while turning pillowcase to the right side.
15. Use a pin to create a sharp corner.
16. Place pillow form into pillowcase.

This is one of those now why did I not think of that? What a great idea to use decorative Christmas themed cloth napkins as throw pillow covers. Inexpensive ready-made cloth napkins are really perfect to use as pillow covers. Might be somewhat of a challenge to find really large size fabric napkins that would be adequate to use, however I have seen them available in thrift stores.
