Striped Beach Towel Basket

During the summer months, beach trips all too often leave us with piles of messy towels to clean. Organize your beach towels in this Striped Beach Towel Basket this summer to help clear some of that summer mess. Using your favorite summer colors, paint this basket to your liking and get ready to use a wonderful organizational tool for summer. This beach craft will help you carry your wet towels home, and eliminate that soggy car seat summer trend. It’s also great for storing your clean beach towels too!

Materials:

1. FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Sunny Yellow, 2 oz.
2. FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Calypso Sky, 2 oz.
3. FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Pure Orange, 2 oz.
4. Canvas basket
5. Fine black permanent ink marker
6. 3/4" Masking tape
7. Stencil brush
8. White cardstock

Instructions:

1. Tape off 2" from the bottom of basket. Using the stencil brush, paint the bottom Sunny Yellow.
2. Tape off stripes and paint Calypso Sky.
3. Paint the frame around label and the handles Pure Orange.
4. Cut out cardstock rectangle to fit inside the lable holder and add Calypso Sky, Sunny Yellow and Pure Orange dots using the end of the paint brush. Write "BEACH TOWELS" with permanent marker and insert into label.
