- Natural wooden tray sized 6" x 8.6"
- Acrylic paint in the following colors: white and watermelon
- Windsor Kaisercraft CS880 clear stamp
- Micia clear stamp border pattern
- 3.2" high stencil of the Eiffel Tower
- 3.1" high stencil with a French motif
- Micia Old Hand black dye ink pad
- Clear acrylic block
- Artline 210 Fineliner black pen
- Rolkem gold dusting powder
- Paint brush
- Fine-grit sanding paper
- Quick-drying matte spray varnish
- Soft cloth
Instructions
How to Make a Display Tray

Mix the white and watermelon paint into a soft pink. Add an uneven wash to the wood and allow to dry thoroughly. Do not paint the outer bottom of the tray. Lightly sand the painted areas of the tray, so that the paint will have a smooth appearance. Wipe the tray with the soft cloth before continuing with the next step.

Use the paint brush to add a watermelon border all around the edges of the tray.

Use white paint and the paint brush to add the stencil design of the Eiffel Tower to the bottom left corner of the tray. Carefully lift the stencil and allow the design to dry thoroughly.

Clean the paint brush. Now use the watermelon paint and the paint brush to add the stencil design of the French motif to the top right corner of the tray. Carefully lift the stencil and allow to dry.

Press the clear stamp image of the butterflies and the French text onto the acrylic block, cover it with the black ink, and transfer it to the top of the tray. Repeat the stamped image in the bottom of the tray.

Link the stamped images with a stamped border pattern.

Use the Artliner pen to draw a stitched pattern all along the watermelon borders.

Use the paint brush and the gold dusting powder to add a gold shimmer to the edges and inner bottom of the tray. Do not add any gold dusting powder to the outsides of the tray.

Spray the tray with the varnish and allow to dry thoroughly.
