"I love easy kids’ crafts like this adorable felt rainbow. It takes 30 minutes or less to make this simple felt craft as a fun family activity. Preschool and kindergarten children can work on identifying shapes, colors, scissor skills, and counting with this project. Plus, it’s a hands-on way to learn the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet (or ROY G BIV). It’s also a great time to start discussing clouds and the science of rainbows. Kids will love working on this types of clouds activity too! I recommend using a hot glue gun because it makes the craft more durable, especially if you use it for a decoration. Plus, it dries quicker. However, if you are making these with younger children, you may want to use tacky craft glue (that’s my favorite one to use) instead, but you will need additional drying time. Otherwise, an adult can assist with assembly or supervise as older kids put their project together. Enjoy the options of how to use these bright, colorful rainbows when you’re done. They make a great place keeper for all your favorite books or can be hung up as a decoration. Another idea is to add a name on the back of the cloud or along one of the colors as a place card. The possibilities are endless!"
