Confetti Champagne Glasses

These Confetti Champagne Glasses, created by Amanda Formaro, are made by using a wide variety of enamel paints. When you begin this New Year's craft be sure to thoroughly wash and dry each one of the champagne flutes you intend to transform. It is important to flip your glasses upside down before you begin decorating them with paint, it is this maneuver that creates the crystal drips. All that is left to do is to wait for the paint to cure, and you'll have wonderfully festive champagne flutes for your next New Year's Eve party.

Materials:

• Champagne glasses
   
• Paintbrushes
   
• (Americana) Crystal gloss enamel paint
   
• Festive green gloss enamel paint
   
• Saffron Yellow gloss enamel paint
   
• White gloss enamel paint
   
• Baby pink gloss enamel paint
   
• Lavender gloss enamel paint
   
• Razzle berry gloss enamel paint
   
• Calypso blue gloss enamel paint
   
• Black gloss enamel paint
  
   

Instructions:

1. Wash and dry champagne glasses thoroughly.
    
2. Turn the glasses upside down on your work surface.
    
3. Using the crystal paint, add one drop at a time around the bottom of the glass.
   
    
4. Continue turning the glass and adding drops on top of the original drops until the paint begins to drip down the glass.
   
    
5. Dip the handle end of a paintbrush in the gloss enamel paints to add colored dots in between the crystal drips
    
6. Alternate the size of your painted dots, making some larger than others.
   
    
7. Add a few tiny dots closer to the rim of the glass while staying 2" away from the actual rim.
   
    
8. Allow to dry following the instructions on your paint (usually 21 days of air drying, or 48 hours of air drying followed by baking).
