How to Make a Customized Christmas Gift Box

Materials:
- Two 12" x 12" pieces of cardstock
- Liquid glue
- Craft companion or ruler and bone folder
- Paper trimmer
- 4 strips 10” x 1 ¼” coordinating paper
- 4 strips 4 1/2” x 1 ¼” coordinating paper (same color as above)
- 4” x 10” transparency plastic
- Craft knife
- Embellishments as desired
Instructions:
1. Cut two pieces of 6 ½” x12” cardstock.
2. Using craft companion or bone folder, on one piece of cardstock score 4 lines that are 1” from the edge. This will be your box base.
3. Take second cardstock, and score 1 1/8” away from the edge. This will be your box top.
4. Take box top, and score a second line that is 1” away from your score line. This is the line for your window.
5. On box top, fold at score lines.
6. Cut tabs and create a "v” shape for proper fit.
7. Fold tabs down and put liquid glue on it. Fold and glue to create your box corners.
8. Take box top, and craft knife/ruler, cut the second score line for the window.
9. Turn box top over, and glue transparency to the back for the window.
10. Cut and glue tabs for box top as in step 6.
11. Glue measured strips of coordinating paper to front and back of your box top.
12. Embellish with coordinating accents as desired.
